     Key Laboratory of Quality Infrastructure Efficacy Research is the only provincial and ministerial key laboratory built by the State Administration of Markets Supervision (formerly the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine) in the field of quality infrastructure efficacy research. In March 2018, the laboratory was approved to be built in China Aero-polytechnology Establishment, which belongs to the category of applied basic research key laboratory. The subjects of the laboratory are quality management, industrial engineering, computer application technology, applied economics and management and other interdisciplinary. The research field of the laboratory involves areas such as measurement, standardization, inspection and testing, certification and accreditation, market super vision and quality management.

     The laboratory is supported by China Aero-polytechnology Establishment (CAPE) which belongs to Aviation Industry Corporation of China. CAPE provides decision support to governments and also provides technical services to enterprises in the field of standardization, quality engineering, standard parts, airworthiness and safety, NDT and personnel certification. CAPE acts as not only the standardization technology supporting organization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), but the standardization technology focal point of the aviation industry of China. CAPE is the Chinese focal point unit of ISO organization Aerospace Technical Committee, and served as the secretariat of ISO/TC20/SC1. The institute has been listed in 7 international organizations such as ISO/TC20 (technical committee on aerospace and spacecraft) domestic technical counterpart units, 24 national ministries and commissions such as (SAC/TC435) secretariat of National Technical Committee for Standardization.
